ASOIU hosts Chinese delegation visiting Azerbaijan for COP29

On November 16, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) hosted a meeting with a Chinese delegation visiting Azerbaijan as part of the 29th session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

The meeting, attended by ASOIU’s Acting Rector, Associate Professor Vazeh Askarov, faculty members, and local business leaders, focused on fostering cooperation between higher education institutions in the two countries. Discussions also highlighted the economic relations between Azerbaijan and China, the achievements of Azerbaijani professionals in various industries, including ASOIU alumni, and prospects for future collaboration.

Gu Haidong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Suzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, who led the Chinese delegation, expressed satisfaction with their visit to Azerbaijan and ASOIU.
