Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University trains qualified engineering personnel for our state and Motherland. Specialist training at ASOSU is carried out at all three levels of higher education - bachelor's, master's, and doctoral. In addition, ASSU has dual degree programs with two prestigious universities - ASSU-Strasbourg University and ASSU-Warwick University. According to the conducted survey, 75 percent of ASOSU graduates are provided with permanent employment. According to the QS ranking in 2023, ASOSU was ranked 271st in the world and 1st in Azerbaijan. ASOSU is an international educational institution. Today, the university has public relations with 75 universities in more than 25 countries. One of the main goals of ASOSU as a higher education institution is to train full-fledged engineering personnel and to form it as a scientific-research university. In the 2022-2023 academic year alone, 350 scientific articles of the university's teaching staff were published in the world-class scientific databases 'Scopus' and 'Web of Science'. 'QS Europe World University Ranking 2024' ranked 434th in the list of the best European universities of ASOSU. According to QS World Ranking, ASUU is also ranked 22nd in the list of the best Asian universities 'Western Asia 2024'.
